ABOUT

A WORD ABOUT FUND REDISTRIBUTION

When I host LSP I redistribute 50% of all tuition. In this way the participants - individuals, organizations and corporations - that work with me on unlearning oppression can directly contribute to the revolution and experience fund redistribution as an important and viable practice in their lives.

HI, I'M BRIAH

ABOUT THE WORK

I work with people in private 1:1 sessions and in group offerings. All of my work is dedicated to helping people access their fullest capacity by companioning them on the journey of learning to  access energy and vitality in ways that are anti-oppressive and hold the possibility of liberation for all.

In my work I use EMDR to disrupt trauma loops, and creativity to open channels for expression and vitality.

While self-care and the inner journey are a valuable part of healing, this work is also dialing people towards feeling more liberated so that they can realize they belong to the larger collective shift.

WHO IT IS FOR

I often work with people who feel stuck and who feel that they don’t have their voice.

Much of my work connects with people when they feel most isolated or burned out; For example, during motherhood, menopause, or with people who are oppressed by dominant culture because of their identity.

I work with people who are yearning to feel empowered.

I work with women and non-binary people to re-imagine their relationship to feminism by moving from white feminism to intersectional feminism

What this often looks like is working with people who are willing to identify or even understand the ways they are around perfectionism, or one-right-way, or urgency, and that this is all coming from a larger context of the system they are within.

Sessions and group offerings require a willingness to be curious and to play. Many people are accessing a kind of play that they haven’t had since childhood- or maybe didn’t even have in childhood.

WHAT PEOPLE EXPERIENCE

As a result of working together, people start connecting with their vitality and life force and begin accessing a greater sense of belonging and of excitement. They get glimpses beyond or through the veil: Through to their vitality and to internalizing the antidotes of white supremacy with an art practice that they can play with and return to as they shift and evolve.

People often report feeling more confident and more comfortable in themselves, and they find it easier to access their self expression. This leads to lives with more possibilities, and less rigidity around the “one right way” to do things.

HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER

My 1:1 therapy sessions utilize creative exploration, somatic resourcing and EMDR.

I am actively learning from and engaging with Dr. Jennifer Mullan’s work, Decolonizing Therapy.

Art groups are designed to gently guide participants into the experience of working with curiosity and intuition through mindfulness and community art-making. Accessible, surprising, and magical art techniques will be offered to invite you into a positive experience of shared creativity.

For graduates who want supervisory hours I offer both 1:1 and supervision in a small group format.

My intent with supervision is to disrupt conventional colonial models of psychotherapy. My work has a focus on play and possibility based on realizing that creativity is innate.

If you want to be part of collective liberation practice I invite you to get in touch with me about supervisory options.

MY MISSION

My mission is to keep liberating myself while inviting other people on the journey.

I want to disrupt individualism and exceptionalism; To uplift and learn from the wisdom of those who’ve been marginalized.

Through funds redistribution as part of my business model we (myself and all those who participate) will support the work of visionaries or revolutionaries who have been marginalized by dominant culture.

MY CREDENTIALS

I am a licensed art therapist (ATR-BC), licensed professional counselor  (LPC) and am certified in EMDR and Somatic Attachment Therapy.
